Your Home Vision, Built on Over 40 Years of Experience

Design-build means one company handles both the planning and the construction instead of passing your project between a designer and a separate builder. At Sunset Rock Design and Build, that keeps the plans you approve and the work on site connected, so fewer details get lost along the way.

In Massachusetts, most additions, decks, and new structures need a building permit from the local building department. Rules on size, setbacks, and inspections vary from town to town, so permit requirements should be part of planning from the very beginning.

It depends on your lot, the condition of your current home, and how much space you need. A home addition often makes sense when you like your location and the house is structurally sound, while a custom home suits buyers starting with land or a house that no longer fits. We build both, so we can talk through the options with you honestly.

The timeline depends mostly on scope: a surface refresh moves faster than a remodel that changes the layout or relocates plumbing. Cabinet and fixture lead times and inspections also affect the schedule. Once your design is set, you get a clearer picture of how your specific project will run.

We are based in Tewksbury and serve Andover, North Andover, Reading, North Reading, Wakefield, Winchester, Medford, Malden, and Newton. You can reach Sunset Rock Design and Build on weekdays between 7am and 5pm to talk about your project.
